J920 FleXtra Gas Internal Combustion Engine:

The efficiency of industry pioneers

As the flagship product of the Nangbach series, the J920 FleXtra gas internal combustion engine has an output of 10.4 MW(50 Hz) or 9.35 MW(60 Hz). To achieve an efficiency of 49.9% (the combined efficiency in CHP applications exceeds 90%), it uses advanced technologies such as two-stage turbocharging. The fast start-stop cycle and operational flexibility of the multi-cell parallel mode make the J920FleXtra an ideal solution for power generation, district heating, load regulation and green energy.

The J920FleXtra unit adopts two-stage turbocharging technology to achieve maximum electrical efficiency and overall efficiency. A SET of J920 turbo modules includes four superchargers, a two-stage supercharger system, intercooler, intake valve set, oil-water heat exchanger, leak purge system and an electric control cabinet for lean combustion, higher efficiency and lower emissions. In addition, the J920 FleXtra unit is capable of maintaining high efficiency in tropical and high-altitude areas.

Power plant Solutions

The J920 FleXtra gas unit of Yanbach can be used in large power plants, developing a standardized power plant concept with fast delivery time and low installation cost. Specific plant design and layout can be carried out according to the size of the plant, using the J920 FleXtra modular concept to reduce the footprint as much as possible, multiple unit system configuration can be installed to achieve scale flexibility, while maintaining the highest level of efficiency. Innovative design, easy to use, easy to install, easy to maintain

The J920 FleXtra is the most efficient of its kind, designed to last long, easy to install, and easy to maintain. The engine consists of three modules: generator, engine and turbo module, which are of high quality, prefabricated and standardized. Each module is factory-tested and then shipped individually to the client for on-site installation, resulting in significantly shorter installation times. In addition, these modules have highly standardized interfaces that are highly compatible with other systems in the plant, ultimately simplifying the overall installation of the plant and reducing construction time. To improve plant availability, the J920FleXtra is also designed to ensure a high degree of operation and maintenance performance.

Power unit
The J920 FleXtra's power unit helps reduce downtime, and it can be easily replaced without dismantling the engine.
Separate camshafts
The J920 FleXtra camshaft is segmented so that it can be replaced from the window at the top of the crankcase.
Coupling

The modular design of the engine makes it easy to split each unit. Major engine components remain in place and are easy to operate.

Maximize the use of energy resources
Burning
Based on the mature combustion experience of yanbach's 6 series engines, the J920Flextra uses an advanced pre-combustion chamber ignition system to optimize combustion conditions and greatly improve the service life of components. In addition, the gas mixing ratio is adjusted separately by direct injection technology with characteristic sensors, so that each cylinder can run well. The J920 FleXtra is mechanically designed to accommodate maximum ignition pressures. Combining the latest Miller technology with a two-stage turbocharging system, the J920 FleXtra is capable of achieving an electric efficiency of up to 49.9%.
Two-stage turbocharging
The two-stage turbo design improves the precision of Miller's technology and ensures high power density. Compared to the single-stage turbocharging, The two-stage turbocharging technology of Yanbach achieves a higher cooling water temperature, making it well suited for projects that provide independent power generation at high temperatures. Combined heat and power (CHP) applications benefit from taking full advantage of the heat generated by cooling high-temperature pressurized air. In addition, it does not degrade power at high altitude.
Engine management system

The J920 FleXtra is equipped with Yambach's proven Yambach integrated engine management system with built-in programmable logic units for visual engine management and power plant control systems. In order to help the plant operate smoothly, the system especially supports the control requirements according to the changing environment, including the balance of each cylinder, optimization and protection of core control, as well as providing a safe Home mode. The design and development of each feature, along with all the key parts, is considered from a holistic perspective.
