Recently, Yanbach biogas generator unit of Harbin Yilanderun Dalian River straw gasification clean energy utilization (power generation) project has successfully completed the grid commissioning.

Harbin Yilanderun Biomass Development Co., LTD., founded in 2018, belongs to Derun Biomass (Hong Kong) Development Co., LTD., a subsidiary of China Resources Group. Derun Biomass (Hong Kong) Development Co., LTD., a subsidiary of China Resources Group, is responsible for the development, construction and operation of domestic biomass energy projects.

The project is located in Dalianhe Town, Yilan County, Harbin city, Heilongjiang Province, on the south bank of Songhua River 231km from Tongsan Expressway in the east of Harbin city, covering an area of 474.02 million square meters. Adhering to the purpose of "clean, efficient, safe and renewable", the project has established efficient and reliable production process (including feeding unit, anaerobic digestion system, gas purification and other units).

The project uses waste straw to produce biogas needed by anaerobic fermentation biological reaction, and further carries out biogas cogeneration. In the process selection and scheme design of the project, Germany's mature and reliable, leading high-concentration total mixed anaerobic fermentation technology (CSTR) and equipment are adopted.

The project designs two fermentation units, each generating 2MW (equipped with 2x1MW biogas generator set), with a total installed capacity of 4MW. After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to consume 90,000 to 10,000 tons of agricultural and forestry biomass straw annually. The designed annual capacity is 16 million m³ biogas, used to produce 32 million KWH of electricity and 16,000 tons of steam. Other products also include 30,000 tons of organic fertilizer and 32,000 tons of green carbon, reducing greenhouse gas and saving standard coal about 12,000 tons per year.

In this project, 4 container Yanbach J320 biogas generating units are selected. While using biogas to generate electricity, the waste heat of the unit is also fully utilized in the process of fermentation unit insulation, so as to achieve the optimal energy efficiency of the whole system.

The commissioning of The Yanbach unit has been successfully completed, and the unit runs well and reaches full power output.
